Eventus Legal are seeking a Wills & Probate Paralegal to join a Lexcel-accredited law firm in Coventry, West Midlands. This is a full-time, permanent job position with a competitive salary and the opportunity to join a busy Private Client team, supporting clients with Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney and probate matters. Role Responsibilities
This Wills & Probate Paralegal position will provide varied hands-on experience within a busy non-contentious Private Client practice, combining drafting work with direct client contact and wider support to the probate team. Key responsibilities will include:
- Will drafting and preparing Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Providing clients with clear information and support in relation to Wills, LPAs and associated tax matters
- Assisting the wider probate team with the progression of estate administration matters
- Responding to client enquiries professionally, both in person and by telephone
- Opening new matters and ensuring client and file information is recorded accurately
- Handling and processing securities, deeds and other relevant documentation
- Working collaboratively with fee earners and colleagues across the Private Client team
Person Specification
Applications are invited from paralegals with relevant experience of non-contentious Private Client work and the ability to communicate sensitively and professionally with clients. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Practical experience of Wills, probate, LPAs or closely related Private Client matters
- A sound understanding of the law and practice relevant to non-contentious Private Client work
- The ability to draft accurately and manage legal documentation with strong attention to detail
- A professional, empathetic and client-focused approach
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
- Good organisation and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively
- The confidence to work independently on appropriate tasks while contributing positively to a wider legal team
