This job is an exceptional opportunity for a Private Client Solicitor with 5+ years’ PQE to handle a varied, high-value caseload of trust, estate and wealth management matters. You will join a respected team dealing with a niche, HNW client base including business owners, agricultural clients and landed families. Role Responsibilities

This Trust & Estates Solicitor job will see the incoming solicitor managing a caseload of complex and often high-value matters. You will have autonomy to run files independently with support available when required. The focus is on delivering a high-quality, bespoke legal service to sophisticated clients with nuanced needs.

Key responsibilities include:

• Advising on the creation, administration, and termination of trusts.
• Drafting complex wills and estate planning documentation.
• Administering high-value and complex estates including agricultural and business-related assets.
• Supporting tax planning strategies and liaising with financial advisors and accountants.
• Advising on succession planning for landowners, farming families, and business owners.
• Handling Court of Protection applications and matters where required.
• Working collaboratively with other departments including corporate, property, and litigation on cross-disciplinary client matters.
• Maintaining excellent client service standards and building strong relationships with referrers and intermediaries.

Person Specification

This job is ideal for a Private Client Solicitor who enjoys intellectually challenging work and has a client-centric, commercial mindset. Applications are welcomed from solicitors with 5+ years PQE. Those with significantly more experience are also encouraged to apply.

You will also have:

• Substantial experience handling trusts, estate planning and complex wills.
• A background working with high-net-worth individuals, landowners or agricultural clients.
• The ability to work independently and take ownership of complex files.
• A practical, detail-oriented approach and excellent drafting skills.
• The confidence to provide expert advice directly to clients and intermediaries.
• Commercial awareness and a strong understanding of wealth preservation matters.
• STEP qualification or working towards this is highly desirable.
