Eventus Legal are seeking a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join a long standing regional law firm in Kettering, Northamptonshire. This full time, permanent position offers a guideline salary of £55,000, depending on experience and PQE, and offers hybrid working of up to two days from home per week. Offering an extensive benefits package includes 26 days’ holiday with length of service, BUPA medical cover and company pension scheme. You will work closely with the Partner and Head of Team, combining a varied caseload with helping to manage and develop the Kettering team.
About the Job
As Senior Private Client Solicitor in Northamptonshire, you will take an active part in supporting the Head of the Private Client Team while continuing to handle your own high quality caseload. Key responsibilities will include:
- Independently handle a varied caseload to include wills, probate, estate administration, Lasting Powers of Attorney, inheritance tax planning and trusts.
- Work alongside the Partner and Head of Team on the day-to-day management of the Kettering private client team.
- Support junior colleagues, sharing technical guidance and helping them develop their experience.
- Maintain effective client relationships and contribute to consistent standards across the department.
About You
The firm is looking for a Senior Private Client Solicitor who can contribute to the team’s development long term. You will ideally have a minimum of 4 years PQE and be able to operate autonomously at senior level. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Qualified Solicitor with substantial private client experience and the ability to manage a varied caseload and support a dedicated and collaborative team.
- Confidence supporting colleagues and contributing to team management.
- An approachable manner and the ability to explain sensitive matters clearly.
- An interest in a senior appointment with responsibility beyond your own files.
- Attention to detail and posseses strong IT skills
