Eventus Recruitment is seeking a Senior Associate Solicitor – Commercial Litigation to join a highly regarded, award-winning law firm based in Guildford. This is a full-time, permanent role offering the opportunity to work with a well-established Dispute Resolution team. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Senior Associate Solicitor will be responsible for running a varied caseload of commercial litigation and property litigation matters, including disputes relating to business contracts, property, professional negligence, shareholder/director disagreements, and more.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
- Conducting and managing a full range of commercial and property litigation matters for both commercial and private clients.
- Managing own caseload and progressing files efficiently and effectively.
- Developing new business opportunities and building strong client and referrer relationships.
- Participating in networking and marketing events on behalf of the firm.
- Supervising and mentoring junior members of the team and assisting with trainee development.
- Ensuring regulatory compliance, quality file management, and timely billing procedures.
- Liaising with clients in person, via phone, and in writing to provide high standards of client care.
- Collaborating with colleagues across departments to cross-refer work and enhance client service delivery.
Person Specification
The successful Senior Associate Solicitor will have a minimum of 6 years’ PQE and a strong track record in handling a wide range of commercial disputes. In addition, you will possess the following skills and attributes:
- Technical competence and proven experience in commercial and property litigation.
- Ability to meet and exceed chargeable hours and fee targets as expected at Senior Associate level.
- Demonstrated experience of networking and business development activities.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a client-focused approach.
- A collaborative and team-oriented mindset with willingness to support others.
- Enthusiastic about maintaining up-to-date legal knowledge and undertaking relevant CPD.
- A following or strong client/referrer relationships would be advantageous but not essential.
