Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Senior Family Solicitor to join a well-established, award-winning law firm based in either Wigan or Liverpool. This is a permanent, full-time position offering remote working on a hybrid working basis, genuine flexibility and the opportunity to take on a leadership role within a growing and highly regarded Family Law team.

This is a key strategic hire for the firm, with the successful candidate acting as an “anchor” for the family team, providing support, guidance and structure as the department continues to grow.

About the Job

The incoming Senior Family Solicitor will play a central role in leading and developing the private family offering, working closely with the Head of Department while supporting junior lawyers and maintaining a high-quality caseload.

The role will involve:

• Managing a varied caseload of private family law matters, including divorce, financial remedy, and children work
• Providing leadership and day-to-day support to junior members of the private family team
• Acting as a key point of contact within the team, helping to maintain consistency and quality of work
• Supporting the continued growth and development of the private family department
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships, including potential HNW work
• Collaborating across offices to ensure a cohesive and supportive team environment

About You

You will be an experienced Family Solicitor who enjoys mentoring others and is looking to take on a more senior, influential role within a supportive and flexible firm.

You’ll also be able to demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor, ideally with 10+ years PQE in private family law
• Strong experience handling private family matters independently
• Proven ability or desire to support, mentor, or manage junior team members
• Excellent client care skills with a calm, empathetic approach
• Commercial awareness and an interest in contributing to team growth
• A collaborative and approachable leadership style

Ideally you will also have exposure to HNW or complex financial matters.
