Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced and credible Residential Property Solicitor with 3 years PQE to join a highly successful award winning firm based in Bradford or Ilkley, West Yorkshire. The successful Solicitor will work in an industry leading legal firm where you'll manage your own caseload of matters while providing a profitable, ongoing contribution to the department. You'll be responsible for supervising, developing, and mentoring members of your team, encouraging their growth alongside your own. This is a full time, permanent role offering a competitive salary up to £50,000, hybrid working, 25 days annual leave plus your birthday off, continuous professional development, wellbeing hours, health cash plan, group life assurance and pension contribution

Role Responsibilities:

The incoming Residential Property Solicitor will actively contribute to the continuing evolution of the firm, identifying improvements and innovations that enhance their service. Our client is committed to your ongoing development and expect you to participate in training initiatives, both delivering support to staff and investing in your own professional growth.

  • Manage all client work allocated by the head of department or other partner and in accordance with detailed procedures and quality standards set by the firm from time to time
  • Ensure that all client work is progressed expeditiously, and that the client is kept regularly informed on progress and on costs
  • At all times to exercise high standards of client care in a professional and pleasant manner
  • ensure the confidentiality and security of all the firm’s and client documentation and information
  • Able to achieve agreed levels of billing and time recording
  • In close liaison with the Accounts Department, to have overall responsibility for credit control on own matters
  • Comply with the Solicitors Accounts Rules and the Rules on the Professional Conduct of Solicitors
  • In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to be active in promoting the services of the firm and its image and ethos
  • In liaison with Head of department and other partners, to take active part in the marketing, promotion, and development of the department
  • Maintain clear and precise communications with other personnel of the firm.
  • Ensure good working relationships with external institutions and organisations
  • Supervise, support and develop immediate support staff
  • Take responsibility for and attend to self-development

Person Specification:
The successful Residential Property Solicitor will possess strong administrative skills, excellent communication skills, and be an excellent team player. Based in the Bradford or Ilkley, West Yorkshire office the successful candidate will play a key role in helping to drive the successful development of the firm in line with their business plan, creating and managing business opportunities that support the residential departments growth and financial performance objectives.

  • Qualified Solicitor with 3 years PQE
  • You will have relevant experience in handling and processing residential sales, purchases, and remortgages with minimal supervision
  • Possess the ability to mentor, support and encourage other members of the department in the process of the department’s client files
  • Strong team building and people management skills
  • A pleasant but assertive manner in dealing with colleagues and clients
  • Promote tact, support and resilience
  • Effective communication skills, both orally and in writing
  • Efficient and well organised with good control of diary systems and competence in the firm’s computer systems and case management
