Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join an expanding property team at a national law firm in Leicester, Leicestershire. This full-time, permanent job offers a salary of £40,000 to £50,000 and hybrid working with up to two days working remotely from home. The package includes 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays, Christmas closure, the option to purchase additional leave and performance related bonus schemes. Role Responsibilities
As a Residential Conveyancer, you will manage a low volume caseload of conveyancing transactions from initial instruction through to post-completion and help develop the department's local relationships. Key responsibilities will include:
- Managing residential property sales and purchases.
- Handling remortgages and equity release transactions.
- Checking titles for freehold and leasehold properties.
- Dealing with transfers of equity and matrimonial transfers.
- Providing support and training to conveyancing assistants.
- Developing local client contacts and referring clients to other departments where appropriate.
Person Specification
This Residential Conveyancer opportunity in Leicester is suited to a solicitor, legal executive or licensed conveyancer with at least two years' experience handling a residential conveyancing caseload. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience managing residential property transactions from instruction to post-completion.
- Knowledge of freehold and leasehold titles and the transactions outlined above.
- Knowledge of the local area and the ability to develop client contacts.
- A professional approach to client care and effective working relationships with colleagues.
- The ability to support conveyancing assistants and maintain the firm's quality standards.
