Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / Legal Executive / Licenced Conveyancer

Eventus Legal are seeking a Solicitor / Legal Executive / Licenced Conveyancer to join a highly successful Residential Conveyancing team in Stockton-on-Tees. This is a permanent job that is offered on a part-time basis (3-4 days per week). The successful Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will be rewarded with great benefits including 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (pro rata), free parking, hybrid working (1-2 days remote per week) and flexi-time hours.

Role responsibilities

The incoming Residential Conveyancing Solicitor will join a large and well-established residential team in the newly renovated open-plan Stockton-on-Tees office. The team have an excellent reputation and prides itself upon its ability to deliver a first-class service their clients.

Specific duties will include:

  • Managing a mixed case load of sale, purchase and Buy to Let residential properties, leasehold matters, help and right to buy schemes, new build property purchase and sales, mortgages/re-mortgages, shared ownership and affordable housing, and transfer of equity.
  • Providing effective communication and excellent customer care to clients at each stage of their journey.
  • Taking an active role in business development, to support building professional relationships and growing their client base.

Person specification

Applications are sought from experienced Solicitors, Legal Executives and Licenced Conveyancers, ideally those 3PQE+ although applications who can demonstrate the requisite experience through alternative means are encouraged to apply. You will also have:

  • Prior experience of managing a busy and varied residential property caseload
  • Knowledge of the legal aspects of residential transactions, including Freehold and Leasehold, new build transactions including reviewing TP1s, and using the Land Registry Portal and lender portals would be advantageous
  • Commercial awareness
  • Excellent communication skills
