Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join a regional heavyweight law firm in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire. This full time, permanent job comes with a salary guide up to £45,000 depending on experience and offers hybrid working of up to two days from home. In addition, the package includes 26 days’ plus bank holidays, BUPA medical cover and company pension scheme. This opportunity combines responsibility for your own files with providing day-to-day guidance to a Paralegal and Trainee within the team. 

Role Responsibilities 

As Residential Conveyancer in Northamptonshire, you will take responsibility for your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters and support the development of your junior conveyancing colleagues. Key responsibilities will include: 

• Manage residential sales and purchases, including leasehold and new build matters. 
• Progress remortgages, equity release and transfers of equity. 
• Guide the Paralegals and Trainee Solicitors as they develop their conveyancing knowledge. 
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and professional referrers. 
• Use case management systems to keep work organised and support effective compliance. 

Person Specification 

Our client is looking for a Residential Conveyancer who can work independently whilst also contributing to the team’s future growth and development. Experience levels are flexible, with the focus on your ability to run a residential conveyancing caseload and guide junior colleagues. You should also be able to demonstrate the following: 

• Residential conveyancing experience and the ability to handle your own files with minimal supervision. 
• Experience dealing with Title Checks and Raising Enquiries is essential.  
• A willingness to support and guide junior colleagues; previous management experience is desirable. 
• Confidence developing client and referrer relationships and contributing to new business. 
• Strong organisational skills and experience using case management systems. 

Benefits and Rewards

• Salary guide of £35,000 to £45,000 per annum, depending on experience. 
• Hybrid working of up to two days from home per week, after completion of probation.

• Life insurance of three times salary, subject to the scheme’s qualifying period.
