Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancing Solicitor to join a well-established, award-winning law firm based in Hale, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent job position with salary dependent on experience and a strong benefits package including an employee bonus scheme of up to 10% of salary, healthcare support, company pension, life insurance cover, Pure Gym membership and a paid day off for your birthday. Role Responsibilities

You will join an established residential property team handling a varied range of conveyancing matters for local and national clients, with exposure to transactions of differing levels of complexity. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing residential property transactions from instruction through to completion and post-completion, with appropriate support and supervision.
  • Advising on freehold and leasehold sales and purchases.
  • Reviewing title documentation and dealing with property ownership and registration issues.
  • Drafting and reviewing contracts, transfer deeds and mortgage documentation.
  • Handling Land Registry applications and Stamp Duty Land Tax requirements.
  • Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other parties to progress transactions efficiently.
  • Maintaining clear and regular communication with clients throughout the conveyancing process.
  • Identifying and resolving issues that may delay or complicate transactions.
  • Working in accordance with anti-money laundering, data protection and regulatory requirements.
  • Contributing positively to client relationships, referral relationships and the continued development of the residential property team.

Person Specification

This Residential Conveyancing Solicitor job will suit an ambitious property lawyer who wants to continue developing their technical experience within a growing residential team. Applications are welcomed from candidates who can demonstrate the following:

  • Qualified Solicitor status, from newly qualified level to around one to two years' PQE.
  • Residential conveyancing experience gained during training, post-qualification work or both.
  • Experience of handling, or supporting on, a range of residential property transactions.
  • Good knowledge of the conveyancing process from pre-exchange through to completion and post-completion.
  • An understanding of freehold and leasehold transactions, title matters, Land Registry requirements and SDLT.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • Clear, professional communication skills and a client-focused approach.
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with clients, colleagues, estate agents and other third parties.
  • A proactive approach to problem solving and progressing transactions.
  • A collaborative approach and a genuine interest in continuing to develop within residential property.
