Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join a well-regarded law firm on a full-time, permanent basis, based at either Kendal or Windermere, Cumbria. This is a great opportunity for an experienced conveyancer to manage a varied residential caseload from instruction through to completion, with genuine scope for a more experienced fee earner to take on a senior or supervisory element within the team. About the Role
As a Residential Conveyancer, you will manage your own caseload of residential property matters while delivering an excellent standard of client care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Taking client instructions and providing clear legal advice throughout the conveyancing process
- Managing a caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion
- Recording time accurately, billing promptly and managing credit control in a commercially aware way
- Responding promptly and positively to client enquiries and new instructions
- Keeping files managed in line with Lexcel and regulatory compliance standards
- Building strong, lasting relationships with clients, estate agents and lenders
- Contributing to the growth of the department, including helping to attract new clients and promote the firm
- Maintaining your legal knowledge and skills through ongoing training and research
- For more experienced applicants, supporting and mentoring junior members of the team and helping to share the workload of the department's senior fee earner
About You
This Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner job would suit someone with a sensitive, professional approach and a genuine interest in delivering excellent client care. You should be able to demonstrate:
- Proven experience in residential property or conveyancing
- Confidence managing your own caseload
- Strong client care skills and a sensitive, professional approach
- Excellent communication skills
- A self-motivated and organised approach, with the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
- Experience supervising, mentoring or supporting more junior colleagues would be an advantage for candidates looking to take on a more senior element to the job, although this is not essential
