Eventus Legal are seeking a Residential Conveyancer to join a law firm in Macclesfield, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent job opportunity within a busy Residential Conveyancing team offering a competitive salary of up to £50,000 plus bonus. Job Responsibilities
As the incoming Residential Conveyancer, you will manage your own varied caseload of residential property matters from instruction through to completion. This Residential Conveyancer job will suit an experienced Solicitor who enjoys client contact, building professional relationships and working within a busy conveyancing department. Your duties and responsibilities will include:
• Managing a mixed conveyancing caseload of freehold and leasehold sale and purchase matters
• Handling mortgages, remortgages and buy-to-let transactions
• Communicating with clients to receive instructions and provide advice throughout the conveyancing process
• Preparing mortgage reports and reporting to clients
• Reviewing titles and raising enquiries where appropriate
• Preparing contracts on sale files
• Dealing with enquiries from clients, solicitors and third parties
• Carrying out searches and reporting to clients on search results
• Ensuring regular communication with clients throughout transactions
• Preparing matters for completion, including accounts packs
• Working with Land Registry documentation and title deeds
Person Specification
The successful Residential Conveyancer will have experience managing their own caseload of residential conveyancing matters with minimal supervision. Applications are welcomed from Solicitors with at least two years' relevant experience. In addition, you will possess the following skills and experience:
• A minimum of 2 years' PQE experience within residential conveyancing
• Proven experience independently managing a varied residential conveyancing caseload
• Strong technical knowledge of residential property law and conveyancing procedures
• Experience handling freehold and leasehold sales and purchases from instruction through to completion
• Strong understanding of AML, client due diligence and regulatory compliance requirements
