Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner to join a successful conveyancing department based in Darlington, County Durham. This is a permanent Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner job, working 37.5 hours per week if full-time, or pro rata hours for 4 days, with a salary of £35,000 - £45,000. The successful Conveyancer will benefit from hybrid working and remote working following probation, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, birthday leave, quarterly bonus schemes, Medicash healthcare, paid wellness time, funded training and excellent progression opportunities.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Residential Conveyancing Fee Earner will manage a busy, high-volume caseload of residential conveyancing matters from instruction through to completion. This Conveyancer job in Darlington, County Durham will involve working closely with a supportive team while also handling matters with minimal supervision.

Specific duties will include:

• Managing all aspects of residential conveyancing, including sales, purchases, freehold and leasehold transactions.
• Handling your own varied and high-volume caseload efficiently and accurately.
• Preparing and processing letters, forms and documentation using SOS or another case management system.
• Providing clear, professional and proactive client care throughout each transaction.
• Working cohesively with colleagues across the conveyancing department.
• Generating revenue through business development and building relationships in the local market.
• Supporting the continued growth and reputation of the residential property team.

Person Specification

Applications are sought from experienced Conveyancers, Residential Conveyancing Fee Earners, Solicitors, Legal Executives or Licensed Conveyancers with strong technical knowledge of residential property matters. This opportunity would suit a proactive Residential Conveyancer with over 3 years’ technical conveyancing experience.

You will also have:

• Experience managing your own residential conveyancing caseload with minimal supervision.
• Confidence handling sale, purchase, freehold and leasehold work.
• Strong client management skills and a commitment to delivering excellent service.
• Good knowledge of case management systems, ideally SOS or similar.
• A commercial approach and an interest in business development.
• Excellent organisation, communication and time management skills.
• The ability to work well within a busy and collaborative conveyancing team.
