Eventus Recruitment is seeking a Qualified Residential Conveyancer (Solicitor, CILEX, or Licensed Conveyancer) to join a well-established and highly regarded high street law firm in Dorking. This is a permanent position offering full-time or part-time hours with the option of term-time only working, making it ideal for those with family commitments. Role Responsibilities

The successful Residential Conveyancer will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions from instruction through to completion. The firm operates a low-volume, high-quality approach, ensuring a manageable and sustainable caseload aligned with salary.

The day-to-day job duties within this role include:

  • Handling your own caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages, and transfers of equity
  • Liaising with clients, agents, mortgage lenders, and other solicitors
  • Providing clear legal advice and ensuring all transactions proceed efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records and files in line with compliance requirements
  • Contributing positively to the firm's team culture and client service ethos

About You

The successful Residential Conveyancer will be a qualified Solicitor, Licensed Conveyancer or Chartered Legal Executive with at least 2 years’ experience in residential conveyancing. You will have a client-focused approach and a desire to work in a small but dedicated team.

You will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Strong experience in managing residential conveyancing files independently
  • Excellent client care and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently
  • Experience in commercial property is desirable but not essential
  • Comfortable working with case management systems and technology
  • A flexible and proactive attitude to work
