Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Residential Conveyancer (minimum 2 years’ PQE) to join a busy and expanding Conveyancing department in Skipton, North Yorkshire. This is a permanent Residential Conveyancer job offering hybrid working, flexible hours, free parking and a competitive salary depending on experience, within a friendly and collaborative team. The Residential Conveyancer job in Skipton, North Yorkshire has arisen due to continued departmental growth.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Residential Conveyancer will manage a varied caseload of residential property transactions.

Your responsibilities as a Residential Conveyancer will include:

• Managing sale, purchase, remortgage and transfer of equity files.
• Title checking and raising/responding to enquiries.
• Exchanging contracts and completing transactions.
• Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and other solicitors.
• Submitting SDLT returns and Land Registry applications.
• Handling leasehold matters and liaising with landlords and managing agents.
• Undertaking searches and complying with AML requirements.
• Supporting the development and promotion of the Conveyancing department.

Person Specification

The successful Residential Conveyancer will demonstrate:

• Minimum 2 years’ PQE in Residential Conveyancing, as a Solicitor, Legal Executive or Licenced Conveyancer or highly experienced Fee-Earner (substantial years of experience)
• Experience managing a varied caseload independently.
• Strong knowledge of Land Registry procedures and the CML Handbook.
• Excellent client care and communication skills.
• A proactive, organised and team-focused approach.
