Remote Conveyancing Assistant

Eventus Recruitment is seeking a Remote Conveyancing Assistant on a permanent full time basis. The role is to support experienced conveyancers in a growing independently run residential property law firm. This is a fully remote role, offering development opportunities in a friendly, values driven environment. Salary is £26-30k depending on experience, with 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pension, and ad hoc bonuses.

Role Responsibilities

As the Remote Conveyancing Assistant, you will support conveyancers in all aspects of the residential transactions, enabling them to focus on technical legal work. The day-to-day job duties within this role include:

  • Preparing and completing legal documents for residential sales and purchases including leasehold and freehold
  • Conducting property research, title searches, gathering information from third parties such as lenders and property management companies
  • Liaising with clients, solicitors, estate agents, lenders, other third parties to progress cases
  • Managing calendars, appointments, deadlines, and ensuring replies and follow ups to queries are managed efficiently
  • Maintaining accurate records and documentation, updating internal case management systems
  • Providing administrative and customer service support including responding to enquiries, updating clients, ensuring transparency in progress

Person Specification

The successful Remote Conveyancing Assistant will have a track record of providing support to residential conveyancing fee earners. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication and be confident in speaking to clients and third parties
  • Comfortable with digital tools and case management systems
  • Able to learn new systems quickly.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail including good recordkeeping
  • Ability to manage several tasks and cases simultaneously to meet deadlines
  • Possess a collaborative team oriented ethos and mindset
  • Motivated to work in a values led culture that prioritises client experience levels
