Eventus Legal are seeking a Family Solicitor to join a successful law firm based in Leicester, Leicestershire. This is a permanent, full-time job opportunity. Role Responsibilities

As the Family Solicitor you will be responsible for conducting a full caseload and providing high quality, timely, professional advice and representation for family clients.

Key Responsibilities

The Family Solicitor position is suited to a confident legal professional with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE. You will possess first class interpersonal and motivational skills and the passion to help drive the profitability of the firm.

The work in this job role will be varied and will include, but is not limited to, the following:

  • Advising clients in areas of divorce, judicial separation.
  • Dealing with financial remedy cases, including high net worth clients.
  • Managing private Child Act matters.
  • Drafting Separation, Pre-nuptial, and Co-habitation agreements, Divorce petitions, change of name deeds and statements.
  • Representing clients at Court.
  • Managing files using the Proclaim Case Management System (training will be provided).

Person Specification 

The incoming Family Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive will ideally have at least 3 years’ PQE in the relevant areas of Family Law. However, our client will consider all levels of qualification and experience, but the successful legal professional will need to be competent to run their own files.

The successful Family Solicitor will possess the following skills and attributes:

  • Admitted as a Solicitor or FCILEx with minimum of 3 years’ experience.
  • Membership of resolution or family panel would be desirable but not essential.
  • Demonstrable evidence of family law experience including own advocacy.
  • High standard of organisational skills required for file management and diary management.
  • Ability to use own initiative.
  • A friendly, positive, and flexible approach.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ability to manage / supervise junior team members.
