Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join the expanding wills, trusts and probate team of a well-established, award-winning law firm in Liverpool, Merseyside. This is a full-time, permanent job offering a competitive salary dependent on experience, hybrid and remote working with two days a week from home. Ideally with 4+ years' PQE, you will run your own caseload of wills, trusts and probate files from the Liverpool office.
About the Role
This Private Client Solicitor job suits someone who wants to run their own files within a team which is continuing to grow as it keeps pace with rising demand for private client advice, so the incoming Private Client Solicitor will have a full caseload from the start and the independence to manage it. Alongside the technical work, the Wills, Trusts and Probate Solicitor will build a client base of their own through regular networking.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing a varied caseload of wills, trusts and probate matters with minimal supervision
- Advising on will drafting, tax planning, estate administration, probate and powers of attorney
- Networking regularly to win new clients and build your own client base
- Dealing directly with clients, families, carers and third parties such as medical experts and case managers
- Carrying out chargeable work to support the fee earners in the team
- Maintaining compliance with firm policy and SRA requirements, including regular risk assessments
- Keeping files in good order and acting as an ambassador for the firm
About You
You will be a qualified Solicitor, or an experienced fee earner, with a private client background and proven wills, trusts and probate experience, ideally 4+ years' PQE.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Experience working to financial and chargeable hour targets
- A proactive approach and sound judgement when managing a caseload with minimal supervision
- Strong organisation and time management skills
- Competent IT and case management skills
- Attention to detail
- Confident, empathetic communication and a professional client manner
- A commitment to client care, compliance and professional standards
- The ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
