Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a busy and long standing and highly reputable private client department in Alfreton, Derbyshire. This is a permanent, full time Private Client opportunity. Benefits include 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, pensions scheme, flexible working.
Role Responsibilities
As an experienced Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive, you will be joining one of the regions most reputable law firms within a department that truly puts their clients at the heart of everything they do. This Private Client role will suit a passionate fee earner, who is able to manage a truly varied caseload and be able to build strong relationships with clients old and new.
Specific duties will include:
- Manage a varied caseload of Private Client matters, including Wills, Trusts, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Court of Protection matters, and Trust Registration Scheme work.
- Ensure all files are progressed efficiently from initial instruction through to completion, maintaining accurate records and case management updates.
- Advise clients on inheritance tax implications and estate planning strategies
- Handle the full administration of estates, including applications for Grants of Probate and administration of estates through to finalisation.
- Communicate with clients regularly via phone, email, and in person.
- Work closely and collaboratively with colleagues across the private client department
Person Specification
Applications are sought from experienced Private Client Solicitors and/or Legal Executives who have experience and sound understanding within private client.
You will also have:
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience although all PQE levels are considered for this role
- Prior experience managing a busy and varied private client caseload
- Full clean driving license
- Ability to manage a busy caseload independently
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience building and maintaining strong client relationships
