Eventus Legal is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor with 5 years PQE or more to join a clients growing team based in either their Doncaster or Wakefield office. This is a great opportunity for a confident, personable and passionate fee earner who can manage a large and varied caseload while delivering a high level of client service. You will handle a broad range of private client matters, with a particular focus on complex and Taxable estates and Trust work, alongside Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney. This is a full time, permanent position offering a salary between £40,000 - £50,000, 25 days annual leave, an extra day at Christmas and New Years Eve, Bupa Wellbeing Healthcare plan, life assurance and critical illness scheme, option to buy additional holiday, flexible working with hybrid and remote working (role-dependent), sickness pay and Perkbox membership.
Role Responsibilities:
The incoming Private Client Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
- Managing your own busy caseload of private client matters from start to finish
- Advising clients on complex and taxable estates, including inheritance tax planning
- Drafting and administering trusts
- Preparing Wills and advising on estate planning matters
- Drafting and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney
- Dealing with estate administration, including high value and complex estates
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships
- Working collaboratively with colleagues across the Wakefield and Doncaster offices
- Ensuring compliance with all regulatory and internal procedures
Person Specification:
The successful Private Client Solicitor, based in either Wakefield or Doncaster, will be responsible for advising a diverse client base on a wide range of private client matters, with particular emphasis on high value, complex, and taxable estates and trust work. You will play a pivotal role in delivering bespoke legal solutions, maintaining strong client relationships, and contributing to the continued growth and reputation of the department and firm.
- Qualified Solicitor with 5+ years PQE in Private Client work
- STEP qualification (or working towards) desirable
- Strong experience running a large and varied caseload independently
- Proven expertise in complex and taxable estates and trust work
- Confident advising clients on Wills, estate planning and LPAs
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
- Strong communication and client care skills
- Able to work flexibly between the Wakefield and Doncaster offices
