Eventus Legal is delighted to be recruiting for an experienced and compassionate Private Client Solicitor to join a growing and progressive law firm based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire. You will manage your own varied Private Client caseload, build and maintain strong relationships with clients, and play a key role in the continued development of the department while upholding the highest standards of client care. The successful candidate will benefit from a competitive salary of up to £45,000 dependent on experience, alongside hybrid and flexible working arrangements. The firm offers 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays, an additional day off for your birthday, and a Christmas closure period that is not deducted from annual leave. Role Responsibilities:

The incoming Private Client Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:

  • You will manage a broad and varied caseload of private client matters with minimal supervision, delivering high quality, empathetic, and commercially sound advice to clients

  • Drafting a wide range of Wills, including complex and high-net-worth estates

  • Full estate administration, from initial instruction through to distribution, including taxable estates

  • Advising on and preparing applications for Grants of Probate and Letters of Administration

  • Preparing and registering Lasting Powers of Attorney (Property & Financial Affairs and Health & Welfare)

  • Advising on and handling Court of Protection applications, including deputyship matters

  • Providing advice on Trusts, including the creation, administration, and ongoing management of trusts

  • Estate and succession planning, including inheritance tax planning

  • You will be responsible for maintaining and developing strong client relationships, providing clear and sensitive advice, and ensuring matters are progressed efficiently and in compliance with all regulatory requirements.

Person Specification:

The successful Private Client Solicitor, based in Wakefield, West Yorkshire, will demonstrate exceptional organisational skills alongside strong written and verbal communication abilities and will have experience in Wills, Probate, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

  • Qualified Solicitor with Private Client experience (at least 2 years PQE)

  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently, prioritise workloads, and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Capable of providing outstanding client care, building strong working relationships, and conveying information clearly and professionally

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal software

  • Self starter who thrives when taking initiative, but also values teamwork and contributing to a positive, cooperative work environment
