Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join an established, welcoming law firm with a first class reputation based in Leeds, West Yorkshire. The successful Private Client Solicitor will manage their own caseload of wills, LPAs, deputyships, trusts and probate matters from inception to completion, providing high levels of client care and quality service in order to build the brand and profile of the department. This is a full time, permanent job offering a competitive salary up to £50,000, hybrid working (2 days from home, 3 days office based), free parking, a strong focus on development, regular social events, 24 days holiday plus bank holidays and a company pension.
Role Responsibilities:
The incoming Private Client Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
- Running your own caseload of wills, LPAs, deputyships, trusts and probate matters
- To plan and prioritise case and file management
- Accurately utilising and updating the case management system.
- Communicating internally with the private client team, support staff and finance department and externally with clients and other third parties
- Adhering to the Anti Money Laundering regulations, in particular verifying client and other third parties identification in line with the raising any potential money laundering concerns to the Compliance officer
- Drafting legal documentation
- To adhere to the firm’s financial policies of invoicing
- Witnessing and certifying documents for clients
- To assist colleagues in relation to complex cases and working as a team
- To develop and retain new clients according to an agreed development strategy
- Working closely with the Private Client Team Leader in marketing activities to develop new clients and promote the team and firm as a whole
- To train and develop relevant knowledge, techniques and skills
Person Specification:
The successful Private Client Solicitor for the position based in our clients Leeds, West Yorkshire office will have the following skills and attributes:
- 3-5 years PQE
- Experience of running a wills, trusts, estate planning, lasting powers of attorney, deputyships and probate caseload
- Excellent English language and communication skills both verbal and written
- Excellent team player who is able to get on with others
- Good organisational skills with the ability to multi-task
- Ability to work autonomously
- Ability to effectively manage conflicting priorities and enjoy the challenge of managing a caseload
- High attention to detail and accuracy with figures
- Ability to make timely and well-considered decisions
- Possess commercial awareness
- Ability to identify risk and carry out effective risk assessment
