Eventus Legal is looking for a skilled and professional Private Client Solicitor to join an award winning, reputable, and highly respected legal firm in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire. This is a full time, permanent position offering a competitive salary of up to £60,000, you will not only work with experienced and competent lawyers and legal advisors, but will also enjoy a range of excellent employee benefits, including a minimum 26 days holiday + Bank Holidays, access to buying/selling holidays, and hybrid working flexibility.
Role Responsibilities:
The incoming Private Client Solicitor will be responsible for providing support in the following areas:
- Drafting Wills: Preparing clear and comprehensive wills that reflect clients’ wishes and safeguard their loved ones
- Tax and Estate Planning: Advising clients on tax efficient strategies to protect assets and planning for the future
- Probate and Estate Administration: Managing the full probate process, ensuring smooth collection, payment, and distribution of estates.
- Lasting Powers of Attorney: Assisting clients in creating LPAs to appoint trusted individuals for health, welfare, and financial decisions
- Court of Protection Matters: Representing and advising clients in applications or disputes involving the Court of Protection
- Trusts: Setting up and administering trusts to manage and protect client assets, ensuring compliance with legal requirements
Person Specification:
Based in the Huddersfield, West Yorkshire office the incoming Private Client Solicitor will possess excellent problem solving skills, the ability to demonstrate empathy and sensitivity and be able to communicate effectively with strong negotiating experience. Following a period of strong growth, the team is looking to welcome an experienced qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with 2 years PQE as a minimum.
- You will have experience in a varied portfolio of non contentious Private Client matters
- You will be a highly motivated and proactive professional who thrives in an autonomous environment and is ready to take full ownership of their own caseload
- You will be able to manage client matters from start to finish, ensuring the highest standards of service, attention to detail, and professionalism at every stage
- While not essential, experience working with high net worth individuals or managing complex estates will be considered a strong advantage, reflecting your ability to navigate sophisticated financial and legal matters
- Additionally, a proactive attitude toward networking and business development is highly desirable, offering opportunities to contribute to the growth and reputation of the firm
