About the Job
As the incoming Private Client Solicitor, you will handle a varied caseload and provide expert advice to a loyal client base. Depending on your experience, you will either be supported in building your technical skills or be trusted to manage matters with a high degree of autonomy. Work will include:
- Drafting and advising on Wills
- Preparing and registering Powers of Attorney
- Managing estate administration and probate matters, including inheritance tax issues
- Advising on asset protection and Trusts
- Using the firm’s case management system to progress files efficiently
- Supporting colleagues and offering supervision where appropriate
- Contributing to marketing and client development initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with Lexcel, SRA and internal quality standards
This is a well-rounded job offering both autonomy and support, making it ideal for both experienced Private Client Solicitors and those earlier in their careers seeking structured development.
About You
Whether newly qualified or with up to five years’ PQE, you will be a qualified Solicitor or Legal Executive with a strong interest in developing or advancing your career in Private Client law. You will also demonstrate:

- A strong foundation in Wills, Probate, LPAs and ideally Trusts (more advanced technical experience expected at higher PQE levels)
- Excellent client care and communication skills
- The ability to work independently and manage deadlines effectively

- An organised, methodical approach with attention to detail
- Confidence in using legal technology and case management systems
Those closer to 5 years PQE will be expected to manage more complex matters independently and contribute to departmental growth.
