Eventus Recruitment is seeking a qualified Private Client Solicitor, or CILEX Legal Executive, to join a thriving, client-focused high street law firm in Dorking on a full-time, permanent basis. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Private Client Solicitor will play a key role in developing and supporting a rapidly expanding department that was established less than two years ago and has already experienced significant client growth.
The day-to-day job duties within this role include:
- Advising clients on Inheritance Tax (IHT) planning and complex estate matters
- Managing trusts and providing associated legal advice
- Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney (LPAs)
- Administering estates and handling probate matters
- Supporting the wider team with knowledge sharing and best practice
You will be joining a friendly and well-structured team, working alongside a highly experienced team head and a capable paralegal.
Person Specification
The successful Private Client Solicitor will have solid experience in handling a broad range of private client work. You will ideally bring 3+ years’ PQE (or equivalent), but all candidates with relevant skills will be considered.
In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:
- Proven ability to handle a caseload of private client matters independently
- Experience with trust work and IHT planning
- A proactive and collaborative approach to client care and teamwork
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- A desire to be part of a growing team and contribute to its development
