Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Solicitor to join the thriving Private Client department of a highly reputable law firm based in the Blackburn area. This is a permanent, full-time job role offering a competitive salary alongside an excellent benefits package including a generous annual leave allowance.
Role Responsibilities
As a Private Client Solicitor, you will manage a varied caseload of private client matters, delivering high-quality legal advice and support to clients. Responsibilities will include:
- Drafting Wills, Powers of Attorney, and Trusts
- Administering estates, including handling intestacies and complex estates
- Advising on inheritance tax planning and mitigation
- Managing Court of Protection applications and deputyship work
- Acting for a wide range of clients, including high-net-worth individuals and vulnerable clients
- Building and maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring the highest standards of service
- Assisting with business development and contributing to the growth of the department
Person specification
The ideal candidate will be a qualified Solicitor with experience in Private Client law, capable of managing a busy and varied caseload. The successful candidate will demonstrate:
- Strong technical knowledge of Private Client law, particularly Wills, Trusts, and Probate
- Confidence in handling sensitive and often complex client matters
- Excellent client care and communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach
- A proven ability to meet deadlines and manage time effectively
- A proactive and collaborative attitude
Additional desirable qualifications and experience include:
- STEP qualification or working towards it
- Expertise in inheritance tax planning for high-net-worth clients
