Eventus Legal are seeking an experienced Private Client Fee Earner (Solicitor, CILEX or experienced Fee Earner) to join a thriving and fast-growing law firm based in Billingham, with opportunities also available across their other offices in Teesside and County Durham. This is a permanent, full-time job offering a competitive salary of up to £48,000 (depending on experience), alongside 25 days holiday plus bank holidays (increasing with service), paid staff events, access to a health assured wellbeing app with counselling support, ongoing training and a genuinely family-friendly and flexible working culture.

Role Responsibilities

As a Private Client Fee Earner, you will manage your own varied caseload of private client matters while delivering a high standard of client care. You will be based in Billingham or another office across the region, depending on your preference.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Managing a caseload of private client matters including wills, probate, estate administration, powers of attorney and trusts.
• Providing clear, empathetic and practical legal advice to clients during often sensitive and emotional circumstances.
• Drafting wills and associated documentation tailored to clients’ individual needs.
• Handling estate administration from initial instruction through to completion.
• Advising on inheritance tax and estate planning matters where appropriate.
• Liaising with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions and other third parties.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date case files using the firm’s case management system.
• Supporting the continued growth of the private client department through excellent service delivery and client relationships.

• Proven experience managing a private client caseload (wills, probate, LPAs and estate administration).
• Qualification as a Solicitor, CILEX Lawyer or substantial experience as a Private Client Fee Earner.
