Eventus Legal are seeking a Private Client Paralegal to join a reputable, well-established law firm in Burton upon Trent, Derbyshire. This full time, permanent job is fully office based and offers a guideline salary of £25,000 to £26,000, depending on previous private client experience. You will join a friendly, close knit team, supporting a solicitor on complex and high net worth probate and other private client matters. Role Responsibilities

As a Private Client Paralegal in Burton on Trent, you will support a solicitor with a varied mix of private client work, including high net worth probate files. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting probate and estate administration matters, including preparing probate applications and related documentation.
  • Assisting with wills, trusts, inheritance tax and lasting powers of attorney matters.
  • Drafting wills and lasting powers of attorney under supervision.
  • Liaising with clients, executors, beneficiaries and third parties, providing professional and attentive client care.
  • Maintaining accurate client files and records throughout each matter.
  • Developing towards managing a small caseload, including straightforward wills, as your experience and confidence grow.

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from Private Client Paralegals with around one to two years’ experience of mixed private client work gained within a reputable practice. You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • A sound understanding of probate and estate administration procedures.
  • Experience supporting a range of private client matters.
  • Clear communication skills and a sensitive approach to client care.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • The ability to work effectively as part of a close knit team.
