Eventus Legal is seeking an experienced Personal Injury Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive (CILEX) to join the award-winning legal firm based in South Yorkshire. Role Responsibilities

The successful Personal Injury Solicitor/CILEX will manage their own caseload while working collaboratively within a supportive and high-performing team. Duties will include:

• Managing a caseload of serious injury matters from initial instruction through to settlement or trial
• Providing clear, practical, high-quality legal advice whilst delivering exceptional client care throughout each claim
• Preparing legal documentation including witness statements, schedules of loss, court bundles and other supporting documentation
• Liaising with counsel, medical experts and other professionals to progress claims efficiently
• Ensuring files are managed in accordance with compliance, risk management and client service standards
• Meeting departmental financial and time recording targets
• Prioritising competing deadlines whilst maintaining excellent attention to detail and organisation
• Supporting colleagues within the team and providing cover where required
• Contributing to business development activities by building professional relationships and supporting the continued growth and profile of the Serious Injury team

Person Specification

Applications are welcomed from experienced Serious Injury Solicitors, Chartered Legal Executives (CILEX), or candidates with equivalent experience.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:

• Qualified Solicitor, CILEX or equivalent experience within Serious Injury law (minimum of 4 years PQE)
• Experience independently managing a caseload of personal injury or serious injury claims from instruction through to conclusion, including multi-track litigation, with minimal supervision.
• Strong knowledge of civil procedure and litigation processes
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise a busy and varied workload
• Outstanding communication and client care skills, with empathy and compassion when supporting vulnerable clients
• The ability to work effectively under pressure whilst meeting deadlines and performance targets
• Strong IT skills and a methodical approach to file management
• A genuine passion for Serious Injury law and achieving the best possible outcomes for clients

• Experience handling complex and high-value serious injury claims – desirable
• Membership of relevant professional bodies or accreditation schemes such as APIL or Law Society panels – desirable
• Commercial awareness with an understanding of litigation strategy, case value and costs
