Ref: 2489| Posted: 4th Aug 2026

Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Paraplanner to join an independent financial planning firm in Knutsford, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent job paying £40,000 to £46,000 depending on experience, with flexible start and finish times, 1-2 day a week from home, 25 days holiday plus bank holidays and funded CII study support. The paraplanning team in Knutsford is being expanded as part of a medium term growth plan, so the incoming Paraplanner joins a function that is being built rather than one that is standing still. • Preparing existing client files ahead of annual reviews
  • Keeping client files compliant on an ongoing basis

About You

This Paraplanner job suits someone already working at a paraplanning role who wants harder cases and more ownership of the written advice. Confidence with a blank page matters here, because report writing and research are the core of the job.

  • At least two years' experience in a paraplanning job at a financial planning firm
  • Level 4 Diploma in financial planning
  • Strong technical knowledge of pensions and investments
  • Confident, accurate report writing to support the advice process
  • Ability to work within defined processes and reach an agreed outcome without supervision
  • Familiarity with back office and platform systems, Intelligent Office useful but not essential

Benefits and Rewards

As well as a salary of £40,000 to £46,000 depending on experience, the incoming Paraplanner will receive:

  • CII study support towards Chartered
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
  • Employer pension contributions
  • 4x death in service
  • Flexible start and finish times
  • 1-2 days a week working from home
  • Free parking on site

About the Firm

The employer is an independent, whole-of-market financial planning firm that has been advising clients across Cheshire and the North West for many years, and it remains owned by the people who founded it rather than a network or a consolidator. Advice runs on a team model rather than a single named adviser, so the work is shared and the technical standard is held collectively. Several of its advisers were named Top Rated in the 2025 VouchedFor guide and the firm holds the Pension Transfer Gold Standard, which tells you something about the depth of the casework. It is a firm that has grown steadily rather than by acquisition, invests in its people, and has an excellent reputation locally.
