Paraplanner

Ref: 2430| Posted: 6th Jul 2026

Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a well-regarded independent financial planning firm in Alderley Edge, Cheshire. This is a full-time, permanent Paraplanner job paying £45,000 to £48,000, with hybrid working (3 days office, 2 from home), flexible hours between 8am and 7pm, full study support to Chartered and beyond, and 25 days holiday (+ bank holidays) plus your birthday off. Based in Wilmslow, Cheshire this is a rare client-facing paraplanning job, you'll sit inside the client relationship and help shape the advice, not write reports from the back office, with the backing of a fast-growing national advice group behind a close-knit local team.

About the Role

As the incoming Paraplanner you'll become an integral part of a client pod, working alongside a Chartered Financial Planner and an Administrator who look after around 80 client families between them. This is a Paraplanner job where the work is genuine, complex, high-net-worth financial planning, with cashflow modelling at the heart of it, and you'll be trusted in front of clients from the start. Modern planning systems and AI meeting notes strip out much of the administration, so your time as Paraplanner goes on thinking, analysing and solving real planning problems.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Building financial plans and sophisticated cashflow models across income, expenditure and net assets
  • Carrying out in-depth technical research across pensions, investments, tax planning and protection
  • Attending client meetings, contributing to discussions and helping shape recommendations
  • Preparing annual reviews and maintaining financial plans as clients' lives change
  • Producing clear, concise suitability reports that explain not just what is recommended, but why
  • Working collaboratively within the client pod to agree the best course of action for each client

About You

You'll be an experienced Paraplanner who takes real satisfaction from the technical side of the job, someone who enjoys getting into the detail, asking "what if", and building robust plans that genuinely change clients' decisions. Curiosity and humility matter here as much as technical strength.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Proven paraplanning experience, ideally across complex or high-net-worth clients
  • Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning as a minimum, working towards Chartered or already there
  • Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments, tax planning and protection
  • Cashflow modelling experience, which is a strong advantage
  • The confidence and communication to attend client meetings and challenge ideas when something doesn't feel right

Benefits and Rewards

As well as a salary of £45,000 to £48,000 depending on experience, you'll join a firm that invests properly in its people and offers the following:

  • Discretionary bonus scheme
  • 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays (33 days), plus an extra day on your birthday
  • Study support up to Chartered and beyond, covering the initial cost, study, and exam day leave
  • Hybrid working, 3 days in the office and 2 from home, with flexible hours between 8am and 7pm
  • Private Medical Insurance
  • 4% pension contribution
  • Death in Service at 4x cover
  • Free on-site parking

About the Firm

The hiring company is a well-regarded independent financial planning firm on the Wilmslow, with a strong high-net-worth reputation built across Cheshire over nearly twenty years. It recently became part of one of the UK's fastest-growing national advice groups, gaining national investment, systems and career opportunities while keeping the close-knit, no-hierarchy culture that made its name. This is a business that believes financial planning starts with people rather than products, and works in client pods so that planning, paraplanning and administration all pull together for the client. For a Paraplanner who wants to be part of the advice, keep learning towards Chartered, and build a career as the firm scales, there are few better environments in the Cheshire market.
