We're recruiting an experienced Paraplanner for a well-established wealth management practice in Manchester City Centre. This is a partner practice within one of the UK's largest national wealth management networks — a firm that specialises in pensions transfer work, investments, tax and estate planning, and one that genuinely invests in its people.
The practice is led by a team of experienced Wealth Managers who've built a strong, loyal client base. They've grown steadily and this Paraplanner hire is part of that growth. The culture is collaborative and supportive, with a well-resourced technical team already in place. If you're a Paraplanner who's worked within a national wealth management network and wants a role with variety, responsibility and genuine development support, this is worth a conversation.
Hybrid working is standard, with flexible hours on office days. And if you're still working towards your Level 4 Diploma, the firm will support you through it — exam support is built into the package.
Paraplanner responsibilities:
- Writing detailed suitability reports and advice letters across pensions, investments, tax and IHT
- Building and updating cash flow models for client reviews and new business recommendations
- Researching and analysing financial products, platforms and provider solutions
- Attending client meetings alongside the Wealth Managers as required
- Managing client files end-to-end, from application through to completion
- Liaising with administrators and providers to keep cases progressing
- Maintaining templates, advice notes and compliance processes
Paraplanner requirements:
- Previous paraplanning experience within a national wealth management network
- Sound technical knowledge across pensions transfers, investments and estate planning
- Confident writing suitability reports and advice letters to a high standard
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple client files simultaneously
- Comfortable dealing directly with clients, providers and third parties
Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning is desirable but not essential — the firm will support candidates who are working towards it.
Paraplanner salary and benefits:
- Salary up to £40,000
- 25 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Hybrid working with flexible hours on office days
- Discretionary bonus
- Contributory pension scheme
- Support with professional development and Level 4 Diploma
