Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Paraplanner to join a well-established, independent Chartered Financial Planning firm in Manchester city centre. This is a permanent, full-time role paying up to £45,000, with hybrid working of two days from home and flexible start and finish times, an 10% employer pension, 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays with the office closed over Christmas, and full exam support and bonuses. Based in central Manchester, it's a strong opportunity for a technically capable Paraplanner who wants genuine progression on merit and a well-resourced support team behind them. You will be joining a growing, employee-owned practice that invests in its people and backs them with strong systems and a well-run operation.
About the Role
As Paraplanner you will provide the technical research and written advice that underpins every client recommendation, working alongside a team of experienced financial planners. This is a hands-on role with real variety, where the quality of your analysis and reports directly shapes the advice clients receive.
Key responsibilities include:
- Writing detailed suitability reports and advice letters across pensions, investments and protection
- Analysing existing client arrangements against objectives and making recommendations
- Cashflow modelling and tax-efficient planning analysis
- Conducting technical research and analysis to support a team of experienced financial planners
- Fund and platform research using Adviser Asset, FE Analytics and in-house tools
- Maintaining and improving reporting processes to ensure ongoing compliance
About You
The right person will have solid paraplanning experience and the technical confidence to own the research and written advice end to end. Strong report writing is central to the role, so clarity and accuracy matter as much as technical depth.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Proven paraplanning experience within an IFA or financial planning practice
- Level 4 Diploma in Regulated Financial Planning
- Strong technical knowledge across pensions, investments and protection
- Confident writing and research skills, as report writing and research are the core of this role
- Familiarity with investment and provider products and platforms
- Intelligent Office (iO) experience is a bonus but not essential
Benefits and Rewards
Alongside a salary of up to £45,000, you will enjoy hybrid working, genuine development and the following benefits:
- Hybrid working, two days from home, with flexible start and finish times
- 10% employer pension contribution
- 4x salary death in service
- Group critical illness cover
- 26 days' holiday plus bank holidays
- Office shuts over Christmas at no cost to your leave
- Exam support and bonuses for passing exams
About the Firm
The employer is a well-regarded independent Chartered Financial Planning firm with a strong presence across the North West, advising clients for over four decades and managing close to £1billion AUM on a whole of market basis. It is owned by the people who work there, which shapes a long-term, client-first culture rather than a sales-driven one. Progression is a genuine standout: people are developed and moved into more technical work on merit, not made to wait for someone above them to leave, and the support team is well-resourced and well-led. The operation is well run and well invested, with strong systems and processes behind the advice, giving the firm real momentum rather than standing still.
