About the Job
In this Commercial Property Paralegal job in Lancaster, you will be supporting experienced lawyers in delivering high-quality legal services to commercial clients. You’ll play an integral part in progressing transactions, maintaining compliance, and helping ensure a smooth client experience.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Opening, maintaining and archiving client matters using SOS and internal systems
- Ensuring regulatory and operational file compliance is maintained throughout
- Tracking and updating key file dates and prompting actions where needed
- Supporting the billing process and liaising with finance as needed
- Drafting correspondence and legal documents under supervision
- Coordinating meetings for fee earners and managing logistics
- Handling incoming calls and liaising with clients and third parties
- Conducting legal research and preparing articles or updates
- Assisting with administrative property tasks including searches and land registry matters
- Helping support continuous improvement and operational reviews within the team
About You
This job would suit a detail-focused and proactive paralegal with prior experience in commercial or residential property law. You’ll be confident in a fast-paced, client-focused setting and ready to make a long-term impact within a respected legal team.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Previous experience as a paralegal in commercial or residential property
- Strong academic background including Maths and English GCSE at Grade C or above
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Adobe Acrobat
- Comfort with online legal research tools such as Westlaw or Lexis Nexis
- Highly organised and able to prioritise multiple deadlines
- Confident working both independently and within a collaborative team
- A flexible, client-focused and commercially aware approach
