Role Responsibilities
As a Private Client Paralegal, you will support fee earners in delivering high-quality legal services across a range of private client matters. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting in the preparation of Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney (LPAs)
- Supporting the administration of estates, including asset collection, inheritance tax forms, and estate accounts
- Handling probate applications and liaising with the Probate Registry
- Managing correspondence with clients, beneficiaries, financial institutions, and HMRC
- Maintaining accurate records and case files
- Providing general administrative support to fee earners
Person Specification
The ideal Paralegal candidate will have prior experience in Private Client law area, either as a paralegal or legal assistant. You should be motivated, well-organised, and demonstrate a compassionate, client-focused approach. Additionally, you will possess:
- A solid understanding of probate and estate administration processes
- Experience drafting Wills and/or LPAs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities
- A desire for professional development and interest in gaining legal qualifications (support provided)
Furthermore, applicants must be based within a reasonable commute from Tunbridge Wells.
