About the Job

This Commercial Property Paralegal job in Preston is a varied and supportive position offering the opportunity to work closely with experienced fee earners. You’ll be assisting on transactions and helping ensure compliance, organisation, and client satisfaction across a busy commercial caseload.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Opening, closing and archiving matters, ensuring accuracy on internal systems
  • Maintaining file compliance in line with SRA and internal protocols
  • Monitoring critical dates and actions on files, liaising with the team when needed
  • Supporting the billing process and liaising with finance
  • Drafting documents and correspondence under supervision
  • Attending meetings, preparing notes and updating internal records
  • Managing diaries and meeting logistics for fee earners
  • Handling incoming calls and queries from clients and third parties
  • Undertaking legal research and preparing internal updates or blogs
  • Supporting wider department administration including searches, document management, and file updates

 

About You

This job would suit a motivated and meticulous paralegal who thrives in a fast-paced, professional setting and is confident managing a range of legal tasks in commercial or property law.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience working as a paralegal in either commercial or residential property
  • A good academic background including Maths and English GCSE at grade C or above
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat, and legal research tools such as Lexis Nexis or Westlaw
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and file management
  • Ability to prioritise competing demands and meet tight deadlines
  • A proactive, client-focussed and commercially aware mindset
  • Flexibility and the ability to work both independently and within a team
  • Experience with SOS case management software (desirable)
