Role Responsibilities
As the Operations Manager, you will take responsibility for driving the efficiency and performance of the administration function. Your daily responsibilities will include:
- Collaborating with senior management to implement a new administration team structure.
- Developing clear progression pathways, salary bandings, and role definitions.
- Designing and implementing appraisal and bonus schemes.
- Establishing and managing a hybrid working policy.
- Overseeing recruitment and onboarding for the administration and Technical Adviser Support teams.
- Conducting skills and knowledge assessments and implementing training plans.
- Managing workflows, ensuring tasks align with skills and capacity.
- Monitoring and reporting on business tasks, client reviews, and regulatory compliance.
- Liaising effectively with Advisers to ensure administrative support meets business requirements.
- Collaborating with the Process Improvement Manager to streamline processes and technology systems.
Person Specification
The successful Operations Manager will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:
- Proven management experience in financial services or another regulated industry.
- Excellent understanding of workflow management, performance metrics, and process improvement.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members.
- Experience designing and implementing appraisal, training, and reward systems.
- Competent in leveraging technology to enhance operational efficiency.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
