Eventus Recruitment is seeking an Office / Facilities Manager to join a highly respected law firm based in Chichester. This is a permanent, full-time position working within a professional, welcoming team environment. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with excellent organisational skills who is seeking a varied and hands-on role within a well-established legal practice. On offer is a salary of £28-35k depending on experience, 26 days holiday plus bank holidays, free parking, enhanced pension contributions, and health benefits.

Role Responsibilities

The incoming Office / Facilities Manager will play a key role in maintaining the firm's high standards across facilities and office administration. You’ll ensure a welcoming environment for clients, while supporting operational continuity and compliance across the business.

The day-to-day job duties within this role include:

  • Overseeing the upkeep of the firm’s buildings, equipment, and systems
  • Coordinating scheduled inspections, repairs, and maintenance
  • Managing relationships with contractors and ensuring work meets compliance standards
  • Ensuring facilities meet regulatory and health & safety requirements
  • Managing meeting rooms and maintaining shared spaces to a high standard
  • Supporting reception duties, including telephone and visitor management
  • Handling post room operations including couriers and daily mail
  • Maintaining accurate records of Wills, Deeds and LPAs
  • Liaising with clients and staff to retrieve, scan, and log legal documents
  • Ensuring reception area is fully covered during business hours, including break cover

Person Specification

The successful Office / Facilities Manager will be a confident communicator with strong administrative and interpersonal skills. Ideally, you will have prior experience in a facilities or office management role within a professional environment. Legal sector experience would be particularly beneficial.

In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Diplomatic and approachable with excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to stay calm and prioritise tasks during high-volume periods
  • Proactive, methodical, and reliable
  • Able to work independently and within a close-knit team
  • Strong IT skills, particularly MS Office
