Eventus Legal are seeking a Litigation Specialist / Solicitor specialising in Claims Against Public Authorities to join a successful law firm based in Sheffield. This is a permanent, full-time role. Role Responsibilities 

As the successful Litigation Specialist / Solicitor specialising in Claims Against Public Authorities, you will manage a full caseload whilst offering support to the overall team and partners where required.

The caseload will consist of files ranging from not limited to:

• Police Complaints
• Claims against public authorities
• Inquests
• Judicial reviews

Person Specification 

As the incoming Litigation Specialist / Solicitor, you will be familiar with assessing clients for legal help and completing CCMS applications as well as CFAs, ATE and private client work. Ideally you will have experience of undertaking file reviews and supervision in line with the CAPA supervisor standard, but this is not essential.

Importantly, you will also be able to display: 

• Strong Litigation experience
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including word and outlook.
• Excellent communication and client care skills.
• Expert drafting skills.
• Strong organisation skills.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to summarise and present complex information in a clear and accessible way.
• Innate ability to work methodically and accurately with an excellent attention to detail.
• Strong presentation skills.
