You will be based in the Middlesbrough, Teesside office, supporting fee earners with a varied caseload of residential property transactions while being part of a close-knit and supportive team.
Role Responsibilities
As a Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Assistant supporting the Residential Conveyancing department in Middlesbrough, you will provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative assistance. The incoming Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Assistant will play a pivotal part in ensuring the smooth progression of residential property files and delivering outstanding client care.
Your responsibilities as a Conveyancing Legal Secretary/Conveyancing Assistant will include:
- Providing dedicated secretarial support on a busy caseload of residential conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, new builds, leasehold properties and equity release cases.
- Preparing correspondence, contracts and legal documentation through audio dictation and digital case management systems.
- Assisting with the progression of residential property files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Liaising with clients, estate agents, lenders and third parties to maintain proactive communication throughout transactions.
- Using the LEAP case management system (experience highly desirable).
- Handling Land Registry applications, SDLT submissions and general administrative tasks.
- Ensuring exceptional client care standards are upheld at all times to maintain the firm’s strong local reputation.
