Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced Legal Cashier to join a firm based in the heart of Warrington. My client has been a key part of the fabric of the town for more than 60 years and their integration into the community has meant that they are a trusted partner for many individuals, businesses and charitable organisations in the area. The role is a full time position based in their lovely city centre offices. You will be part of an incredibly inclusive and collaborative team and will benefit from a generous salary and an incredible 28 days holiday allowance plus bank holidays. This is a full-time permanent job opportunity in legal finance.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Legal Cashier will carry out a range of duties including:
- Overseeing and controlling all banking procedures
- Performing Bank Reconciliations
- Posting Payments, receipts and transfers in a timely and accurate manner
- Assisting with month end procedures
- Checking bills and statements
- Carrying out card payments
- Processing Payments, BACS, CHAPS
- Dealing with queries from both fee earners and clients
- Operating within the Solicitors Accounts Rules
- Ensuring the smooth running of the cash office
Person Specification
The incoming Legal Cashier will ideally have experience as a Legal Cashier . Also, to be successful for this job you will have the following knowledge and skills:
- Minimum of a years’ experience as a Legal Cashier in an SRA-regulated law firm.
- Strong understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and legal sector accounting.
- Good organisational skills and time management.
- Able to communicate well at all levels
- Good level of computer literacy
- Able to use initiative and work as a team member
