Eventus Recruitment are seeking an experienced remote Legal Cashier to join a pioneering global law firm. My client leverages the expertise of over 750 highly qualified lawyers, including Solicitors, Barristers, and Overseas Attorneys, across more than 90 countries. The client is based in Lightwater, Surrey but you will have the privilege of working remotely. Your initial training will be at the clients office for the first couple of weeks so this must be considered before applying. This is a full time permanent job opportunity in legal finance.
Role Responsibilities
The incoming Legal Cashier will carry out a range of duties including:
- Manage daily financial transactions including invoicing and payments using Xero accounting software.
- Oversee accounts payable processes to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Maintain accurate financial records in accordance with legal industry standards.
- Reconcile bank statements and prepare financial reports.
- Collaborate with legal teams to ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Assist in preparing budgets and financial forecasts.
- Support audit processes by providing necessary documentation.
- Continuously improve financial procedures to enhance efficiency.
Person Specification
The incoming Legal Cashier will have experience as a Legal Cashier . Also, to be successful for this job you will have the following knowledge and skills:
- Minimum of three years’ experience as a Legal Cashier in an SRA-regulated England & Wales law firm.
- Strong technical understanding of SRA Accounts Rules and legal sector accounting.
- Exceptional accuracy, organisational skills, and attention to detail.
- Confident communicator with the ability to work with consultants, management, and external parties.
- Experience using Xero legal accounting software.
- Ability to work independently, prioritise workload, and meet deadlines.
- Professional, reliable, and able to support team development.
