Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Legal Cashier to join a busy Legal Finance Team based in Liverpool City Centre. This is a full-time Legal Finance job, working 9-5 Monday to Friday. The company offer the opportunity to work hybrid, with two days remote working a week from home. Role Responsibilities

The successful Legal Cashier will be expected to conduct the following tasks:

  • To be familiar with and to ensure the company’s compliance of all financial obligations as stipulated by The Council of Licensed Conveyancers or SRA Accounts Rules
  • To deal with reconciliation of our office account through the Accounts package, Xero
  • To help manage the firm’s Client Account through the firm’s case management system, Hoowla, including all postings in and out, daily reconciliations and general Legal Cashier duties
  • To sign off client completion statements and to liaise directly with lawyers in respect of any discrepancies and / or late submissions
  • To liaise directly with third party providers regarding any statement discrepancies
  • To assist with development of best practice within the accounts process to ensure the firm fully utilises automation wherever suitable and minimises risk

Person Specification

The incoming Legal Cashier will have experience of working in a finance department as a Legal Cashier or a Finance Assistant. In addition, you will have the following skills, experience and attributes:

  • Be experienced as a Legal Cashier, preferably with a conveyancing law firm
  • Be familiar with legal case management systems and / or Xero
  • Have ability to work under pressure
  • Possess a positive, can-do attitude
  • Show initiate and want to progress within a fast-paced firm
