Eventus Legal are seeking a Legal Assistant or Paralegal with experience in Family Law to join a successful law firm in their Harrogate, North Yorkshire office. This is a full-time, permanent office-based job offering a competitive salary between £23,000 - £29,500, depending on experience. Role Responsibilities
The incoming Legal Assistant or Paralegal will play a key role in supporting the Family Law department through secretarial and administrative duties. Responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, organising, and archiving legal files and supporting documents.
- Managing diaries and appointments for fee earners and arranging meetings as required.
- Producing correspondence using audio typing, digital dictation, and word processing software.
- Answering and handling client and third-party calls professionally
- Managing incoming emails, post, photocopying and general office administration.
- Preparing court documents including e-bundling.
- Using the online divorce portal to upload legal documents accurately.
- Assisting with preparation of client bills and managing account ledgers.
- Consistently adhering to the firm’s values of respect, encouragement, and support within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Person Specification
Applications are welcome from experienced Legal Assistants, Paralegals and Legal Secretaries who meet the following criteria:
- Minimum of 12 -24 months' experience working within a Family Law team.
- Excellent client service ethos with strong communication skills.
- High accuracy in typing and proficient IT skills, including Microsoft Office and preferably Proclaim case management software.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a friendly, collaborative team.
