Eventus Recruitment are seeking a full-time, permanent Employed junior Financial Planner to join a thriving Financial Planning business based in Manchester City Centre. This is an excellent job opportunity for a junior Financial Planner looking to grow their client bank under the security of an employed contract. Offering a competitive base salary of £30,000 – £40,000 (dependent on experience), 25 days holiday plus bank holidays, 5% employer pension, and long-term opportunities including a future self-employed route (if desired). This job is office based in Manchester with some flexible work from home days.

Role Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an junior Financial Adviser or Financial Planner to join a reputable and growing financial advisory firm. Responsibilities will include:

  • Proactively generating new business opportunities through prospecting, referrals and networking.

  • Building and maintaining strong, trusted relationships with clients and delivering exceptional service.

  • Conducting detailed reviews of clients’ financial circumstances and planning goals.

  • Researching, analysing, and designing financial strategies tailored to individual client needs.

  • Undertaking risk profiling in line with clients’ financial planning decisions.

  • Providing ongoing support and regular reviews to adapt to clients’ changing needs.

  • Keeping clients informed on product and legislative changes that may impact their plans.

  • Liaising with external professionals and internal teams to deliver cohesive advice.

  • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of regulatory, tax and financial planning developments.

  • Contributing to regular marketing meetings and business development strategies.

Person Specification

The incoming Financial Planner will bring a client-centric approach, entrepreneurial drive, and strong communication skills. Essential and desirable attributes include:

  • Level 4 Diploma qualified in Regulated Financial Planning (essential).

  • Full UK Driving Licence (essential).

  • Background in client relationship management or roles involving sales or business development.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a professional demeanour.

  • Strong self-motivation with a desire to grow a client bank within a supportive team.

  • Previous experience in Financial Advice, Paraplanning or transitioning jobs is desirable.

  • Commitment to professional development and achieving further qualifications, including Chartered status.
