Eventus Recruitment are seeking a Client Services IFA Administrator to join a growing independent financial planning firm in Manchester, Greater Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent job, Monday to Friday, paying £27,000 - £28,000, with hybrid working of one day a week from home and flexible start and finish times. Your CII exams are funded from day one, including the Diploma, alongside an 6.5% employer pension and 27 days holiday plus bank holidays. Based in the city centre of Manchester, Greater Manchester, it is an ideal first IFA Administrator job for someone who wants a lasting career in financial services.
Role Responsibilities
The Client Services IFA Administrator joins one of the firm's small client services teams, each led by its own Team Manager, and looks after the advisers' clients from their annual review through to their day-to-day questions. The work is varied from the first week, covering private clients as well as the pension and protection schemes the firm runs for employers. As your knowledge grows, so does the job, and the firm moves administrators into more technical work as they are ready for it.
Key responsibilities include:
- Taking ownership of client calls and resolving queries directly wherever advice is not needed
- Preparing and issuing annual review packs, including valuations, performance and charges information
- Completing quarterly managed portfolio rebalances and the follow-up checks
- Issuing risk questionnaires and fact finds, updating the systems and passing changes to the adviser
- Producing annual review packs for Group Pension Plan members and servicing Group Risk policies
- Liaising with employers for updated staff data and coordinating adviser meetings
- Carrying out anti-money laundering checks and calculating client fees
- Issuing client agreements by post or DocuSign
- Processing changes of address, death claims and surrender requests
- Keeping client records and diarised tasks accurate and up to date
- Greeting visitors, managing post and keeping meeting rooms to standard
Person Specification
The firm is open to someone who is early in their career in financial services, so the IFA Administrator does not need years of experience. Administrative or client-facing experience in a financial services firm is essential, and more of it will place you towards the top of the salary band. What matters most is a methodical, reliable approach and a wish to build a career in the profession.
You should also be able to demonstrate the following:
- Administrative, customer service or client-facing experience in a financial services firm, such as mortgages, insurance or wealth management
- Strong organisation, working through tasks methodically in date order
- A proactive approach, taking ownership of queries through to resolution
- Confidence with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Accuracy and a keen eye for detail
- Clear, confident communication by phone, email and in person
- Punctuality, reliability and discretion with client information
- Eagerness to learn and progress, with an interest in CII study
