IFA Administrator

Ref: 2417| Posted: 24th Jun 2026

Eventus Recruitment are seeking an IFA Administrator to join a directly authorised, independent financial planning firm in South Manchester. This is a full-time, permanent job paying £28,000 to £30,000, with the Level 4 Diploma fully funded, hybrid working of 3 days in the Manchester office and 2 from home, and a genuine route into paraplanning and advice. Based close to Manchester Airport this is a rare chance to join a small, owner-managed practice in South Manchester and build a long-term career, not just take an admin seat. The firm's founder came up this exact path, and wants to bring someone through the same way.

About the Role

As the incoming IFA Administrator, you'll be the right hand to the adviser, owning the administration around every client meeting and keeping the whole process running smoothly. This is a varied job with real client involvement from the start, and a clear, supported path to develop your technical knowledge and move into paraplanning over time. You'll learn directly from an experienced adviser who has done every part of this job themselves.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Preparing everything the adviser needs for client meetings, from packs to up-to-date valuations
  • Handling post-meeting actions and implementing the adviser's recommendations
  • Gathering plan information and letters of authority from providers
  • Supporting technical research and suitability reports as you train into paraplanning
  • Keeping client records accurate and compliant on True Potential
  • Liaising with clients and providers to keep cases moving

About You

Bringing some IFA administration expereince, you'll be organised, accurate and genuinely keen to build a career in financial planning. Just as important is the ambition to study and progress, since this job is designed to take the right person from administration through to paraplanning and, in time, advice if desired.

You should also be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Some financial services or IFA administration experience
  • A willingness to study towards the Level 4 Diploma
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail
  • Confident communication with clients and providers
  • Familiarity with back-office systems

Benefits and Rewards

Alongside a salary of £28,000 to £30,000, the firm offers genuine development and the following:

  • Full funding and support for the Level 4 Diploma
  • Hybrid working, 3 days in the South Manchester office and 2 from home
  • A genuine, supported path into paraplanning and advice
  • Employer pension
  • 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

About the Firm

The employer is a directly authorised, independent financial planning firm based in South Manchester, advising clients on pensions, investments and retirement planning. It's a small, owner-managed practice where the team works closely together and an administrator sees the whole client journey rather than a narrow part of it. What makes it stand out is its commitment to growing its own people: the firm's founder built their career from administrator to paraplanner to adviser, and is genuinely invested in bringing someone through the same way. For an ambitious administrator who wants to qualify and build a long-term career in financial planning, it's an excellent place to do it.
