Job Responsibilities
In this IFA Administrator / Trainee Paraplanner job, the incoming applicant will support senior financial planners by assisting with research, administration, and the preparation of financial planning documentation. This IFA Administration and Trainee Paraplanning job will involve the following duties:
Paraplanning responsibilities:
- Assisting in the preparation of detailed financial plans and reports.
- Supporting research on financial products, investment strategies, and market conditions.
- Analysing client portfolios and providing recommendations based on findings.
- Maintaining accurate and up-to-date client records and financial data.
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
IFA Administration responsibilities:
- Assisting Independent Financial Advisers in administering financial plans and investment proposals.
- Maintaining, setting up, and updating internal client files and records.
- Processing account applications, transfers, and other paperwork.
- Servicing existing business including policy surrenders, fund switches, and policy changes.
- Managing administration tasks on the back-office software system.
- Preparing paperwork for client meetings including valuations, review packs, and new business documents.
- Liaising with product providers and third parties to ensure timely progression of cases.
- Processing Letters of Authority.
- Arranging client meetings.
- Making telephone calls to providers and communicating with clients via telephone and email.
Person Specification
This IFA Administrator / Trainee Paraplanner job seeks an individual with a strong interest in progressing within financial planning. The incoming professional should demonstrate the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Paraplanning experience would be highly advantageous.
- Working towards RO exams, or a strong desire to begin studying.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and financial planning systems.
