On offer is the opportunity to join the firm as the Head of Residential Property on a full-time permanent basis reporting into the Managing Partner. The position could be based out of two offices main offices, commutable from Farnham, Aldershot, Farnborough, Camberley, Sandhurst, Bracknell, and Wokingham for one office. The other office is commutable from Epsom, Sutton, Croydon, Leatherhead, Ashtead, Surbiton, and Wimbledon.

Role Responsibilities

You will be managing a small team of conveyancers and support staff and be responsible for driving forward performance levels with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. You will also play a key part in strategic growth decisions.

The day-to-day job duties within this role include:

• Managing a small team of conveyancers and support staff across a small number of sites in the Surrey area.
• Monitoring and driving performance.
• Managing and grow lender panels.
• Responsible for maintaining a consistent and high-quality customer experience.
• Quality assurance including CQS monitoring and auditing.
• Acting as the technical referral point for complex cases.
• Training staff to develop skills on a continual basis.
• Managing your own caseload with administrative support provided.

Person Specification

The Head of Residential Property could be either a Senior Conveyancer who is looking for their first opportunity of formally managing a team or an existing Head of Department or even Partner level. Furthermore, you must be qualified Solicitor, CILEX, or Licensed Conveyancer for this role due to the level. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills, and attributes:

• Deep understanding and experience of the residential property market.
• Be technically strong on all types of property cases to act as subject matter expert and technical referral point.
• Have worked with, or ideally managed, lender panels.
• Capable of new business development and marketing activities.
• Highly familiar with CQS and compliance monitoring procedures.
• Strong people skills to manage and motivate a small team.
• Strategic mindset to develop team growth.
• Clear communication skills to liaise effectively with staff of all levels and clients alike.
• Great organisational skills and attention to detail.
