Eventus Legal Recruitment is seeking a Head of Commercial Property at Partner level. The is a full-time, permanent job and is a great opportunity to manage and lead an expanding commercial property team. The law firm is well-established in the legal market and regularly receives positive reviews from their clients which generates referrals. Their offices are in Bromley and commutable by car or public transport from Orpington, Sevenoaks, Croydon, and Dartford. Salary is in the region of £90k-120k depending on experience. Role Responsibilities

The Head of Commercial Property will be responsible for leading and managing the commercial property team. Overseeing the team's work, handling high-value commercial property transactions, and providing legal advice to clients. A key component of the role is to grow the team from its existing team and client base.

The day-to-day job duties within this role include:

  • Team leadership through effective operational management, ensuring efficient workflow to meet client needs
  • Handling your own caseload, which will compromise complex and high-value commercial property transactions, such as the sale, lease, or purchase of commercial buildings and land
  • Providing expert legal advice to clients on various aspects of commercial property law, including conveyancing, leasing, and property development
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and ensuring their satisfaction
  • Business development activities to attract new clients and growing the firm's commercial property practice
  • Mentoring and training junior members of the team, as well as keeping up to date with the latest legal developments

Person Specification

The Head of Commercial Property will be a qualified solicitor or legal executive, with at least 10 years’ PQE. You will possess an in depth understanding of commercial property transactions from simple up to highly complex cases. In addition, you will possess the following experience, skills and attributes:

  • Strong leadership and management skills
  • Good level of client engagement and communication skills
  • Business development and client presentation skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to meet stringent compliance requirements
  • Technical knowledge of commercial property law and desire to continuously improve
  • Teamworking ethos and collaborative mindset within the firm at all levels
